Principal Interaction:
This position will interact with corporate, governmental and other company dispatch/aviation departments throughout the world. This position will interact with everyone involved with any flight contracted.
Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Preflight Planning and Consultation
Landing/Over flight Permits, Airport Landing Slots
Ground Handling/Supervisory Services Arrangements
Flight Following - Customs/APIS, TSA Waiver Arrangements Computer Flight Planning, Filing, ATC Slots
Weather Briefings, Outlooks, Updates
Computer Weather Graphics/Website Support
Contract Fuel Arrangements
Hotel Reservations
Limo/Ground Transport Arrangements
Security Arrangements
Any other assignment assigned by management
Knowledge/Education Requirements:
2 year Associate/Military degree or 4 year Bachelors degree in Meteorology or Aviation related Major field of study. FAA Dispatch Certificate from an airline training academy or aviation training school. 2 years dispatch/operations experience with a commercial airline, military or corporate flight department. U.S. citizen or holder of a U.S. permanent residence work permit. Flexibility to work some night shifts. Relocate to Houston, Texas

Basic Functions:
The Aviation Weather Forecaster will prepare disseminate and present world wide written and verbal aviation weather forecasts for internationally based clients.
Principal Accountabilities/ResponsibilitiesKnowledge/Education Requirements:
- Prepare disseminate written and verbal aviation weather reports
- Forecast for internationally based cliental
- Operate complex computerized communication system
- Perform continuous meteorological monitoring of flights and flight following
- Prepare weather graphic charts and maps
- Prepare and quality control computer flight plans
- Assist in training of new personnel
- Maintain positive interactions with clients and co-workers
4 year college degree or equivalent experience
3-4 years of experience in forecasting
Knowledge of worldwide geography
5 years experience dealing with clients
Knowledge of current computer communication systems
